We watched this video in class about Jake Reilly’s “Amish Project”, where he deletes all social media and turns off his cell phone for 90 days. During that time, he actually LIVED life. How much time a day do we waste on Facebook, Twitter, texting, and tumblr? I been guilty of it. I been to dinners with friends and checked my phone instead of having a conversation with them. Technology is great; don’t get me wrong. But I miss those more simple days where you actually had a conversation without the interruption of a phone. I miss going to get the mail and seeing a hand written letter amongst the pile of bills. I actually like not being available 24/7 just so I can have time to breathe and focus on myself. And for that, I’m going to delete some forms of social media. I simply have too much and it’s unnecessary. Tumblr is one of them.

I’ve seen every episode of Sex and the City at least ten or more times and I can still watch it as if it’s my first time. I love Sex and the City. I love the humor, the wit, and how relatable it is to women.
